JAMMU, Aug 21: Department of Pediatrics, GMC Jammu, in collaboration with Indian Academy of Pediatrics (City Branch Jammu) conducted Divisional Round of 38th IAP UG and 19th IAP PG Quiz, here today.
The MBBS and PG Pediatrics students of GMC Jammu, GMC Udhampur, GMC Kathua, GMC Doda, ASCOMS Jammu and AIIMS Vijaypur Jammu participated in the quiz competitions organized at SMGS Hospital, Jammu.
Principal & Dean, GMC Jammu, Professor Dr Ashutosh Gupta was chief guest on the occasion. He said this platform gives opportunity to the students to learn and share the knowledge. He emphasized that the participation is much more important than winning any competition.
Dr Ashutosh Gupta also announced results of the competition and felicitated the participants, winners and the organizers of these quiz competitions.
Professor & Head Department of Pediatrics, GMC Jammu, Dr Sanjeev Kumar Digra, who is also the Divisional Coordinator for the IAP PG Quiz, briefed the audience about the objective of IAP UG and PG Quiz.
Dr. Sunil Dutt Sharma, Professor Pediatrics, GMC Jammu, was the Divisional Coordinator for the IAP UG Quiz and Dr Anuj Bhatti was the local coordinator of this quiz. Dr Ravi Kumar Parihar, Dr Koushal Kumar, Dr Anumodan Gupta, Dr Sanjana Sharma, Dr Pooja Bharti, Dr Mousin Mustafa Batt, Dr Pallavi Sharma, Dr Surjeet Kumar, Dr Priyanka Sharma, Dr Rajnesh Kumarm Dr Rajinder Singh, Dr Jaspreet Singh, Dr Ajay Choudhary and Dr Rehmat Ullah were amongst the team who conducted proceedings of this event.
Sr Pediatrician Dr Kewal Samnotra; Dr Mohd Razaq, Prof Pediatrics, GMC Jammu; Dr Sushil Sharma, Associate Professor, ASCOMS Jammu were the judges of these quiz competetions.
The UG quiz was won by Team GMC Jammu comprising of Aryush and Ananya Bharti Sharma. Ist Runners-up were Hariomand, Parneet Kour from AIIMS Vijaypur while Ashlisha Singh and Ananya Sharma from ASCOMS Jammu were the 2nd Runner-up.
The PG quiz was won by Team GMC Jammu comprising of Dr Darshpreet Singh and Dr Akanksha Tiwari. Ist Runner-up were Dr Harshvardhan and Dr Anirudh from ASCOMS Jammu and Dr Rupayan and Dr Zubair from AIIMS Vijaypur were the 2nd Runner-up.
Dr. Dara Singh, Medical Superintendent, SMGS Hospital, Jammu was the guest of honour for this event. The other eminent persons who were present on this occasion were Dr Manoj Sharma from Pediatrics, ASCOMS Jammu and Dr Radhika Uppal from AIIMS Vijaypur.
