NEW DELHI, Aug 20: Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, Kiran Rijiju will visit Kargil on August 26 to participate in upcoming Siru festival being held there.
The Minister has accepted the invitation extended to him by Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor (CEC), Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon in this regard, who called on him here, today and requested him to grace the occasion as Chief guest. The Minister accepted the invitation and assured to attend the function on the said date.
The Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shiv Raj Singh Chouhan was also present during the meeting.
The CEC also held a detailed discussion with Shivraj Singh Chouhan on various issues related to agriculture and farmers welfare in Ladakh region.
