UDHAMPUR, Aug 2: Lt Col Bhanu Pratap Singh Mankotia of 14 Horse Regt, who attained martyrdom on July 31 in Ladakh area in the line of his duty, was today paid heartfelt ‘Shradhanjli’ by the Mankotia Biradari.
In this connection, a Shradhanjli programme was organized in the premises of Mankotia Biradari Kuldevi Mandir Ramkot wherein the Biradari members observed two minutes silence and prayed for the eternal peace to the departed soul .
Speaking on the occasion, SP ( Retd) Sewa Singh Mankotia said that Lt Col Bhanu Pratap Singh Mankotia was a Gold Medalist of NDA as well as Sword of Honour awardee of IMA and thus would have rose to the highest position in the Indian Army.
Prominent who participated in the Shradhanjli programme and spoke on the occasion, included Mankotia Biradari Kul Purohit Sudarshan Khajuria, Pujari Atul Sharma, Capt (Retd) Palam Singh, Capt (Retd) Surat Singh, Sub Maj (Retd) Karnail Singh, Capt (Retd) Jagdev Singh, Sub (Retd) Rajinder Dev Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Baldev Singh, Karan Singh and Mohinder Singh.
