JAMMU, Jul 29: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the empanelment of Syed Javaid Mujtaba Gilani, a 1994-batch IPS officer of the AGMUT cadre, for holding posts at the Director General (DG) or equivalent level at the Centre.
Son of soil, Gilani, who has formerly served on several key positions in Jammu and Kashmir, including IGP Kashmir and Director Vigilance J&K, is among 35 senior Indian Police Service officers whose names have been cleared in the latest empanelment order issued on July 29, 2025.
