Language dispute is fatal for the country: Mayawati

LUCKNOW, July 13: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati said that violence due to language dispute in the country is fatal.
“The Centre should take cognizance of this and protect people’s lives and property,” she demanded.
Mayawati said this happens when narrow politics of religion, region, caste and language starts dominating the patriotism of the people and their country’s love.
Mayawati made these comments while reviewing the organisation’s preparations in 7 states about support and public issues at the party meeting held here on Sunday.
In the meeting ,she also took the progress report of the work given to the officials in the meeting of the organization held on March 2 last.
She appealed to the governments to stop the increasing number of accidents in the bridge and expressway in various states of the country and said that this staggers the trust of the public.
“Governments should work in the field of education and health to reduce inflation and unemployment to reduce public difficulties and make their lives easier,” he added. (UNI)
