BJYM to gherao SSB today, demands revocation of decision on Urdu

JAMMU, July 11: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) today warned the Government that the organisation will intensify its agitation if it failed to revoke the Urdu as optional language for the Naib Tehsildar examinations.
Talking to reporters here, today along with other office bearers and leaders of his organisation, Arun Prabat Singh president, JK BJYM said that his organisation will hold second phase of peaceful agitation from tomorrow by gheraoing the office of Service Selection Board (SSB) at 11 am. He said the activists of the organisation will assemble at Kacchi Chawni at 10-30 am wherefrom they will leave towards the office of SSB and gherao it at 11 am. Click here to watch video
Arun Prabat said the agitation will continue in a democratic way for the rights of the youth on whom Urdu language is being thrust by the Government. He warned BJYM will not tolerate the divisive policies of the NC Government and fight them tooth and nail.
The BJYM president appealed the youth and citizens of J&K to join the second phase of agitation in large numbers to force the Government to revoke the decision. He warned that his organisation will not budge an inch from its stand and allow the Government to infringe on the rights of the youth.
He said in case the Government failed to concede the demand, the BJYM will intensify the agitation in future to take it to logical conclusion.
Arun warned the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah that his organisation and youth will not be cowed down by the suppressive and oppressive tactics of the Government saying that they will not allow anyone to suppress their voice. The decision of the Government to impose Urdu on us will not be accepted at any cost, he added.
