SRINAGAR, June 26: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, J&K Bank today donated a transport vehicle and physiotherapy equipment to Life Help Centre for Child Care (LHCCC), a Srinagar-based NGO working for specially-abled children.
As per a statement, the vehicle keys were handed over by the Bank’s Deputy General Manager (CSR), Anup Bhat, to LHCCC Secretary Dr Aaliya during a brief ceremony at the centre’s Nowgam office. Bank officials, NGO staff, and children from the centre were present at the event.
Anup Bhat said the initiative reflects the Bank’s commitment to supporting vital social sectors like child welfare, healthcare, and education, especially for the specially-abled.
Dr Aaliya thanked J&K Bank for the support, saying the vehicle and equipment would help children with developmental and neurological challenges gain better access to therapy and lead more empowered lives.
The donated resources are expected to improve the NGO’s transport and therapy services, especially for children from far-off and underprivileged areas.
