SAMBA, June 19: An emergency meeting of the executive members of the Private Schools Association, district Samba, was held today under the leadership of Pardeepak Sambyal, President of the district unit.
Gourav Charak, Publicity Secretary of the Central body of JKPSA, attended as a special invitee.
During the meeting, Vishal Singh Jamwal, General Secretary, highlighted issues faced by private schools, including the unavailability of online access to the portal jointly managed by the Education Department and JKBOSE for recognition and affiliation purposes.
Members also discussed delays in the approval of management committees and the verification of antecedents by CID.
The association members expressed concern over the mandatory CID verification for individuals involved in school management committees.
They said this condition is discouraging members of civil society from participating in school administration, creating operational hurdles for private institutions.
The members appealed to the Secretary, School Education Department, to hold a meeting with authorised representatives of the JKPSA central body in Jammu to address the long-pending demands of low-budget private schools.
They demanded the restoration of online services and the removal of the CID verification clause for quicker clearance of management-related matters.
Those who spoke during the meeting included Tarsem Lal, Jagdish Raj, Mohan Lal, and Gurdayal Singh.
