RAJOURI, July 7: The Police seized three vehicles loaded with 12 bovine animals and arrested four persons in this connection last night.
Reports said a Rajouri police party intercepted a Tata Mobile vehicle JK02AD/0393 at Potha in Kalakote last night and arrested two persons including driver. They were identified as Zaffar Hussain, resident of Thandikassi in Rajouri and Mohd Aslam from Mendhar. Five animals loaded in the vehicle were also rescued by cops.
Two more vehicles bearing registration No. JK11A/3484 and JK11A/4286 were seized by police in Darhal area and two persons arrested for smuggling seven bovine animals towards Kashmir via Mughal Road. They were identified as Abdul Aziz, son of Haji Kala of Kothian and Mohd Parvez, son of Mir Hussain, resident of Nadian in Darhal. The police registered cases against them.
