SRINAGAR, June 8: The CIC operators working in the Rural Development Department (RDD) today urged the Omar-led Government to fulfill the promise of their regularization made during the election campaign.
The aggrieved workers said that despite completing all codal formalities, they continue to suffer immense hardships for the past 20 years, awaiting a resolution to their long-pending regularization issue.
The workers said their issue was given top priority in the National Conference’s election manifesto, but unfortunately, they said, no positive outcome has materialized to date.
In this regard, the CIC operators appealed to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, seeking the fulfillment of the commitment regarding the regularization of their services.
“We urge the Chief Minister to take immediate cognizance of our plight and take necessary steps to resolve our genuine issue.”
They added that they have been patiently waiting for justice for far too long and stressed that their legitimate demands must be met without further delay.
“We hope the Chief Minister will consider our appeal and take concrete steps to regularize our services, bringing much-needed relief to us and our families.”
