IIT hosts Army Goodwill School Drass for engaging National Integration Tour

JAMMU, June 3: As part of their National Integration Tour, IIT Jammu today hosted a delegation of 22, teacher escort and army men from Army Goodwill School Drass, Ladakh, for engaging in an enriching program designed to foster innovation and national unity.
The 7th and 8th-grade students gained valuable hands-on experience at the Tinkering Lab and Central Workshop, exploring practical applications of technology and problem-solving.
A key highlight of their visit was a specialized Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning workshop, skillfully conducted by IIT Jammu’s final-year B.Tech students.
This session provided the young attendees with an insightful introduction to these rapidly advancing fields.
Dr Nalin Sharma, Associate Dean Outreach at IIT Jammu, personally interacted with the students, engaging them in discussions about their professional aspirations and offering guidance.
The entire event was meticulously organized by IIT Jammu’s Outreach Department, operating under the distinguished leadership of director, Professor Manoj Singh Gaur and dean, Professor Abhay Sharma.
This initiative underscores IIT Jammu’s commitment to broadening students’ perspectives, promoting academic excellence, and strengthening the spirit of national integration.
