‘Saksham’ holds its annual general governing body meeting

Jammu, June 1: Saksham, a prominent organization dedicated to the welfare and empowerment of divyangs (persons with disabilities), convened its annual general governing body meeting, here today.
The meeting attended by all karyakartas from all over the Union Territory was presided over by Abhay Pargal, All India joint general secretary, while Swami Vishwanathan, the Sangathan Mantri of Saksham Uttar Kshetra, graced the occasion as the chief spokesperson.
Pawan Dev Singh, advocate and president of Saksham, delivered a comprehensive outline of the organization’s upcoming events and programs to be taken at prant, district and tehsil level during the upcoming year.
Sunil Singh, secretary of Saksham, efficiently conducted stage management ensuring smooth proceedings throughout the event.
Other speaker was Satish Manhas, noted columnist and Prant Parchar Parmukh of Saksham, who elaborated on the vital role of media, including print, electronic and social platforms, in bridging the communication gap and extending Saksham’s outreach efforts directly to the doorstep of divyang citizens in particular and the wider public in general.
The session concluded with renewed resolve among members to work collectively in realizing Saksham’s mission of empowerment, accessibility and dignified living for all Divyangs.
Among others who attended the meeting included Dr B D Sharma, Chanchal, Dr P P Raina, Sardari Singh, Daleep Singh, Prem Pal, Ravi Singh, Romesh Singh Bahu and many other Saksham workers from the entire union territory.
The meeting concluded with the vote of thanks from Pawan Dev Singh.
