ANANTNAG, June 1: Assam Agriculture Minister Atul Bora on Sunday visited Pahalgam terror attack victim Syed Adil Hussain Shah’s residence in Pahalgam of Jammu and Kashmir and handed over a letter from Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and a cheque of Rs 5 lakh as one-time financial assistance from the Government of Assam to the family.
The Assam Government announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh as a token of respect for the families of all 26 people killed in the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
Bora will also pay a courtesy call on Manoj Sinha, the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, today at J&K Rajbhawan, the Assam Chief Minister’s office said.
