3 police officers relieved from J&K

JAMMU, May 29: The Home Department of Jammu and Kashmir Government has relieved three IPS officers for their future joining in different States and UT. These officers were earlier transferred by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

Meanwhile, three senior police officers have been assigned the additional charge of the posts falling vacant due to the relieving of the IPS officers.
As per an order, the officers who were relieved include 2009 batch AGMUT Cadre IPS officer Umesh Kumar, currently holding the charge of DIG Training PHQ, 2013 batch AGMUT Cadre IPS officer Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, currently posted as SO to IGP, Technical Services and 2015 batch AGMUT Cadre IPS officer Sandeep Gupta, currently holding the charge of AIG (Tech) PHQ.
Further, the order said, Mubassar Latifi Ameer, DIG (Pers) PHQ, shall hold the charge of the post of DIG Training PHQ, Azhar Bashir Baba, AIG (Crime & Complaints) PHQ, shall hold the charge of the post of SO to IGP, Technical Services, and Al-Tahir Geelani, SO to DGP, J&K, shall hold the charge of the post of AIG (Tech) PHQ.
