RAJOURI, May 12: Taking a serious view of unauthorized absenteeism by certain staff members during the recent war like situation in Rajouri, the administration of Government Medical College (GMC) & Associated Hospital, Rajouri, has ordered withholding salary of the erring employees.
An official order issued by Dr A S Bhati, Principal of GMC Rajouri, states that the salaries of all employees — including Faculty Members, Consultants, Senior and Junior Residents, Staff Nurses, Paramedical and Technical Staff, Ministerial Staff, Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), Interns, and others — who remained absent from duty without proper authorization from May 7, 2025, and failed to mark their biometric attendance, shall be withheld with immediate effect.
The order further specifies that the period of absence shall be treated as unauthorized, and corresponding entries will be made in their service records and service books in accordance with prevailing Government rules and regulations.
