SAMBA, May 6,: Intensifying its drive against drug smugglers and peddlers, Samba police has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Ramgarh and recovered 18.52 grams approximately heroin (chitta) like substance from his possession.
Acting on an information received through reliable sources, a police party headed by SHO PS Ramgarh under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur and under the overall supervision of SSP Samba, Virinder Manhas intercepted a motorcycle bearing Registration Number JK21K-1079 near Mahal Adda which was coming from Nandpur side and moving towards Ramgarh. During checking, 18.52 grams approximately heroin like substance was recovered from the rider of the bike.
The drug peddler identified as Younas Khan, son of Makhan of Palli Chak Murar tehsil Bishnah district Jammu has been arrested and contraband item has also been seized.
A case FIR No 32/2025 U/S 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Ramgarh and investigation started.
