POONCH, Apr 25: The dead body of a person was recovered under suspicious circumstances at the main Bus Stand in Poonch on the terrace of a shop.
Official sources said that some people saw the dead body in the morning. After receiving information, Station House Officer Poonch along with the team of J&K Police immediately reached the spot. The police takes body in the possession and shifts it to District Hospital Poonch.
Medical Superintendent District Hospital Poonch, Dr. Nusrat Bhatti said that legal formalities of the body was performed and later it was handed over to family members for last rites through police.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Arif, son of Mohd Siddique, resident of Kamsar in Poonch. He was a drummer by profession. A senior Police officer said that cognizance has been taken in the matter.
