JAMMU, Apr 22: All Jammu and Kashmir +2 Lecturers’ Forum today held a UT level monthly meeting in virtual mode.
The meeting was presided over by Pardeep Singh Rakwal, President Jammu and Mohd Younous Gurezi, President Kashmir while R S Salathia, Chairman of the forum, chaired the meet, which was co-ordinated by Ghar Singh, General Secretary.
Addresding the meet, Pardeep Singh Rakwal lashed at the Govt for unnecessary delay in the regularisation of Incharge lecturers despite passage of considerable time. He sought the personal intervention of Education Minister, Sakina Itoo to resolve the issue of regularisation of incharge lecturers.
He said that the Forum would soon come out with a protest programme if the Department of School Education fails to fix a date for convening DPC for regularisation of Incharge lecturers.
Mohd Younous Gurezi informed that the Forum has presented the burning issues of the +2 cadre like Regularisation of Incharge lecturers, Sanction of ACP, promotion of senior lecturers to Principals without attaching ‘ Lookafter Tag’ before Sakina Masood Itoo,
R S Salathia urged Minister of School Education to fill up the vacant posts of Principals by promoting 50 odd senior lecturers so that headless schools get Principals.
Other participants raised the issues of ACP and filling of all vacant posts of Principals and urged for conceding these demands so that headless schools get heads for their smooth functioning to achieve academic excellence and career progression is assured. The meet requested the Govt. to effect transfers of Lecturers and Principals under ATD and revisit zonation.
The virtual meet was attended by all District Presidents viz Pardeep Koul (Kishtwar), Surinder Madhyal (Kathua), Jagjit Singh (Poonch), Parveena Akhter (Jammu), Ashok Kumar ( Udhampur), Khateeb Ahmed (Ramban), Anwar Hussain ( Rajouri), Subash Chander (Reasi) and all other Presidents of other districts of Jammu besides senior leaders of the central body including Ghar Singh, R K Padroo, Syed Khurshid Ahmed, Shabir Ahmed Shabir, B K Tickoo, Farooq Ahmed Raina , Dr Noor-ul-Hassan, Mohd Iqbal Samoon, Shahid Ahmed, Rajeev Sharma, Rajnish Raina and others.
