RAJOURI, Apr 12: In a major crackdown on drug-related crimes, Rajouri Police has attached/seized property worth over Rs 35 lakhs including residential house and a car, belonging to a notorious drug peddler.
The action was taken by a police team from Police Station, Nowshera led by the Station House Officer under the supervision of SDPO Nowshera following a thorough inquiry. The property was identified as illegally acquired through proceeds from narcotics trade.
The accused Jaswinder Kumar @ Sonu, son of Karam Chand, resident of Ambedkar Chowk, Lamberi in tehsil: Nowshera, who had amassed these assets through illegal drug trade.
Acting swiftly the police invoked Section 68 (F) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985 leading to the attachment of the said properties.
