Ten days teacher training orientation workshop concludes

JAMMU, June 17: The ten days teacher training orientation workshop organised by Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti concluded today at BVM High School, Ambphalla.
On the occasion, Tushar Kanti Sharma, Director School Education was the chief guest, while Ram Lal Sharma, working president, BSS presided over the function. The main speaker was Pardeep Kumar, organizing secretary of the Samiti.
Office secretary and incharge of the orientation course Sameer Saproo presented the welcome address.
In the programme, 25 selected teachers from eight schools of Jammu province were given special training on spoken English, vedic mathematics, physical education, yog, sangeet, Sanskrit and moral and spiritual education in addition to mathematics, science, English phonetics, history of J&K, Hindi and social science.
While speaking, all the trainees highlighted their experience and wished to join such programmes in future.
The resource persons were Savita Kulshresht, a well known spoken English expert from Delhi, Jagdish Sagar, retd Principal from Delhi, Davinder Rao Deshmukh, All India Head of Vedic Mathematics from Raipur, Gopal Krishan, a well know phonetics expert from Jammu, Rishi Kumar Sharma, lecturer mathematics, Sanjay Kumar Gupta, science master, Ved Parkash Kerni, Anil Kohli and Naresh Singh, yog expert.
Pardeep Sharma highlighted the role of the Samiti. He said that in J&K the Samiti runs 35 recognized schools from Basohli to Kishtwar to Leh and Zanskar with 9000 students and 500 missionary teachers.
Director School Education assured the Samiti for all assistance from the Education Department regarding the functioning of schools.
In the end, Rajinder Raina, general secretary of the Samiti presented vote of thanks.
