JAMMU, Apr 8: Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K unit chief, Manish Sahni has claimed that the arguments in the Legislative Assembly of J&K between BJP and NC are only to avoid discussion on public welfare issues like liquor ban in J&K and restoration of Statehood.
In a press conference here today Sahni said that discussion on Waqf Bill in J&K Assembly does not matter as it has now become a law.
“Protests by NC and BJP in the Assembly are only to divert public attention from important issues,” he maintained adding: “Some MLAs are going to bring proposal on banning liquor and restoration of Statehood to J&K which can put both the NC and BJP in problem.”
The Shiv Sena leader said that it was unfortunate to divert attention from banning liquor and discussing other public welfare issues.
He urged the BJP MLAs to raise voice for implementing liquor ban in J&K.
