JAMMU, Mar 26: The Kashmiri Displaced People Wing (KDPW) of Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) today demanded a concrete compensatory resettlement and rehabilitation policy for Kashmiri Displaced Hindus.
In a joint statement issued by Sanjay Dhar, president of KDPW, Chairman, Piaray Lal Pandita and General Secretary, Raj Kumar Ticku demanded that Government of India, as well as Government of J&K UT must now workout a concrete compensatory resettlement and rehabilitation policy of Kashmiri displaced Hindus. The silence regarding re-settlement of our community has become a total human rights violation on the part of Governments.
The members have submitted an appeal before the Supreme Court of India, Human Rights Commission of India and the UNO to come to the rescue of such an exiled community of more than three lakh families, for return and rehabilitation back to their ancestral birth places.
They demanded to remove the disparity formulated vide SRO-412 of 30.12.2009, with abolishing of supernumerary posts in respect of PM Package Special Recruitment, devised categorically for rehabilitation of Kashmiri Migrants to the Valley.
Besides, the leaders have categorically demanded that if 23000 employees had migrated during turmoil and where those vacant posts have gone.
