Drug peddler held with 108 gm heroin, Rs 19000 cash

JAMMU, Mar 22: A drug peddler was arrested with 108 grams of heroin and Rs 19000 in cash from Kullian area here today.
During naka checking, a team of Border Police Post Kullian under the jurisdiction of Police Station Miran Sahib stopped a suspicious vehicle coming from Chak Alwal for checking, a police official said.
On search of the vehicle, driven by one Sahil Choudhary of Chak Alwal, tehsil RS Pura, the police team recovered 108 grams of heroin and Rs 19000 in cash from the accused, he said.
Accordingly, he said the driver of the vehicle was arrested and a case FIR number 43/2025 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act was registered against him at Police Station Miran Sahib, with further investigation set into motion.
The arrest was made under the supervision of SHO Miran Sahib, Jaipaul Sharma.
