Police detains 15 vagrants from drug hotspots

SAMBA, Mar 13: On third day of their crackdown on vagrants near known drug hotspots, Samba Police today detained 15 individuals under preventive sections of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), from the jurisdictions of police stations Bari Brahmana and Vijaypur.
Special police teams, led by SHOs of Bari Brahmana and Vijaypur, conducted operations around Balole Khad (Bari Brahmana) and Rakh Barotian (Vijaypur)-areas notorious for drug-related activities. Those detained include Owais Zahoor, Rakesh Kumar, Subham Saroch, Aazim Ashiq, Vipan Kumar, Arun Kumar, Kunal Singh Manhas, Adil Bhamotra, Ansil Mahajan, Ankush Gupta, Sajid Salathia, Anil Kumar, Ankush Choudhary, Jimmy Thappa, and Yogesh Sharma.
The raids were conducted under the supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Manhas.
The detained vagrants were sent to District Jail Kathua.
