A circular issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) emphasizes strict adherence to the prescribed timelines for submitting APRs. Officers serving as Custodians of the SPARROW platform across various departments have been instructed to compile and update information as per the specified format. The process involves self-appraisal by officers, followed by assessments from the designated Initiating, Reviewing, and Accepting Authorities, as per existing Government regulations.
To prevent delays, the Government has set fixed deadlines for different stages of the appraisal cycle. The APRs must be completed within the stipulated time frame to avoid automatic forwarding, which would be considered a default on the part of the concerned officer.
Departments have been directed to monitor the process closely to ensure timely submissions. The initiative is expected to enhance accountability and performance evaluation among Gazetted Officers while aligning with the broader digital governance framework.
Officials can access the SPARROW platform at https://jaksparrow.jk.gov.in for further details and submissions.
