Matrimonial dispute leads to stone pelting

SRINAGAR, June 8: A matrimonial dispute in Pattan town of Baramulla district led to stone pelting by the relatives of bride on a house at Takia Tappar, police said.
“There was a matrimonial dispute between newly wedded bride of Goshbug who was married to Javid Ahmad Ganie of Takia Tapper in August last year. On Saturday evening the respectables from both the parties had come to the residential house of Ghulam Mohammad at Takia Tapper to settle the dispute issue, which finalized into a divorce,” the spokesman said.
He said during settlement the relatives of the bride got agitated and started pelting stones on the residential house of Ghulam Mohammad, resulting in damage to the window panes and glasses of the house.
The spokesman said a case FIR number 106/2014 under Section 47,148,427,447, 336,379/RPC was registered and investigation has been taken up.
