MENDHAR, Feb 17: The Power Development Department (PDD) took action against illegal connections in the Mendhar tehsil, snapping several connections.
The department warned consumers that if they do not take proper registered connections and fail to clear their outstanding bills, legal action will be taken against them.
Under the leadership of AE, Makbool Hussain of the Mendhar Sub-Division, JE Shafiq Ahmed and his team disconnected illegal connections in the main market, affecting supplies to shops and homes.
Officials stated that, following instructions from senior authorities, 120 illegal connections were snapped in various parts of Mendhar town, and the action will continue in future.
