KISHTWAR, Jan 23: Under the exemplary leadership of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is in the safest hands and faces no internal or external threat.
This was said by Sunil Kumar Sharma, the Leader of Opposition in the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly and MLA Paddar, articulated a firm stance against Dr Farooq Abdullah, emphasizing the safety and security under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
Sharma asserted that adversaries of the nation are aware of their standing today and would not dare to escalate tensions. He criticized Dr Abdullah, labelling him as a potential threat to the social fabric of the country. According to Sharma, it is individuals like Abdullah who propagate misinformation, offering contradictory statements depending on their audience—be it in Delhi, Jammu or Kashmir.
He urged Dr Abdullah to reflect on his past election statements compared to his current rhetoric. “If politicians like Farooq were to present honest and unified messages, the people of J&K could enjoy peace, harmony, and prosperity,” Sharma remarked.
While acknowledging Dr Abdullah’s position, Sharma contended that “You are too small to be a threat to the country, but you are a threat to the people of J&K,” pointing out that dishonesty in politics undermines the rights of citizens to lead peaceful lives.
Sharma’s remarks come at a time of heightened political discourse in the region, emphasizing the importance of truthful representation and the potential impact of political narratives on public well-being.
