JAMMU, Dec 4: Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) activists here today staged a protest demonstration against JMC, PWD, ERA and Smart City project.
The protesters expressed resentment against traffic problems and demanded construction of exclusive Ring Road and start of Metro Train services from Ambphalla-Manda, Janipur to Akhnoor.
The protest was led by MSJK president, Sunil Dimple who flayed the Traffic Department for harassment by way of e-challans.
He also said that condition of roads in Jammu city was very bad and the main holes on roads are damaged.
“There is immediate need for blacktopping of most of the roads,” MSJK leader maintained adding that most of the ERA and JMC sewerage manholes were overflowing and without cover.
He said that Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah should look into all such problems and should get start the construction work of exclusive four way Ring road from Ambphalla-Manda to Janipur High Court to Roopnagar-Bantalab up to Akhnoor.
Dimple warned to start agitation against the worst traffic problems in Jammu city if these problems are not resolved at the earliest.
Prominent among the protesters included Sat Sharma, Sachin Soi, Rupesh Bhat, Arjun Anand, Bunty Dogra, Vijay, Deepak and many others.
