JAMMU, Dec 4: The Kailakh Sanskrit Ratna Award for the year 2024 was conferred upon Shri Shri 1008 Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri Ji Maharaj.
This was stated by president of Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sansthan Trust, Mahant Rohit Shastri, while addressing a press conference, here today. Trustees of the Trust, including R K Chhibber, Pramod Sharma, Dr Vishva Gupta, Anil Gupta, and several other distinguished citizens were present on the occasion.
Mahant Rohit said that “Kailakh Sanskrit Rattan Puraskar” ceremony was a great success due to the efforts of Sanskrit enthusiasts and participants. Shastri stated that for the first time in the history of Jammu & Kashmir, such a grand Sanskrit event took place, which is now being discussed on a global level.
Shastri emphasized that the primary objective of the Trust is to promote the divine language Sanskrit in the region. He appealed to the youth to actively contribute to the preservation and propagation of Sanskrit, thereby strengthening the cultural heritage of the region and the nation.
