POONCH, Dec 4: The Indian Army, under the aegis of the BG Brigade organized a youth Agnipath awareness and interaction programme today in Balakote area of Mendhar.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 270 youth aged 16-21 years, from the region. The programme led by Col Abhay Sharma, Army Recruitment Officer Jammu aimed to create awareness about the Agnipath Scheme, a transformative initiative designed to offer dynamic career opportunities in the armed forces.
Through detailed discussions the event highlighted the benefits of the scheme in shaping disciplined and skilled citizens while emphasizing its role in generating employment opportunities especially for the youth in border areas.
As a special attraction, a weapon display was organized during the event showcasing advanced military equipment and offering participants a closer look into the life of a soldier. This initiative reflects Army’s unwavering commitment to empowering border-area youth with meaningful career prospects while fostering a sense of patriotism and dedication to national service.
