JAMMU, Dec 4: Rashtriya Bajrang Dal today staged a protest in Jammu, voicing strong opposition to alleged atrocities against Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh. The demonstration, held near Trikuta Complex, Bus Stand, aimed to draw attention to what the activists described as ongoing human rights violations under Bangladesh’s interim government.
Holding placards with messages like “Stop atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh”, the protesters condemned the alleged violence, including reports of killings, abductions, assaults, and the demolition of temples. Accusing the Bangladeshi authorities of failing to protect minority communities, the activists expressed outrage over incidents of persecution.
During the protest, effigies symbolizing extremist elements in Bangladesh were burnt, underscoring the group’s demand for justice. Bajrang Dal members alleged that prominent Hindu figures, saints, and communities in Bangladesh are being targeted in what they described as a climate of political anarchy.
The protestors urged the Indian Government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to intervene diplomatically. They called for measures like economic sanctions to pressure Bangladesh into ensuring the safety and dignity of its minority populations.
“The Hindu community in Bangladesh is facing relentless persecution, including violence, looting, and systemic injustice. Without adequate protection from the Government, they have been left vulnerable and marginalized,” the protestors stated.
Bajrang Dal reiterated its demand for immediate action, emphasizing the need for international attention to prevent further escalation of violence against minorities in the region.
