Srinagar, Apr 19: Police claimed to have arrested 3 gamblers and recovered stake money of Rs. 1500 from them in Nowhatta locality of Srinagar.
A police spokesman said 3 gamblers identified as Zahoor Ahmad Sheikh of Sheikh Colony, Showkat Dar son of Ghulam Mohammad, Mohammad Rafiq Bhat son of Ghulam Rasool of Sazgaripora and Mohammad Iqbal son of Ali Mohammad of Mashili Mohalla, Nowhatta, were arrested while gambling at a public place.
“1500 rupees were recovered from the gambling site and FIR numbers 27/2014 under Section 510 RPC and FIR number 28/14 under Section 13 Gambling Act was registered against them,” the spokesman said.
