JAMMU, Mar 27: Minister for Planning Ajay Sadhotra has launched attack on divisive forces and sought support of the people to strengthen democratic and secular forces in State.
Addressing series of public meetings here today in support of Congress candidate Madan Lal Sharma, he observed that so-called Modi wave was creation of a section of media but on ground there was National Conference-Congress wave in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that people will vote on the development works done by the State and Central Government. He reiterated that the State has witnessed tremendous development in all spheres of life under the coalition regime. Naming BJP and its Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, Sadhotra said that emergence of divisive forces was against brotherhood and National integration.
He said that the politics of the hatred is a dangerous campaign for the country and urged the people to reject the communal and divisive forces and strengthen the secular and progressive forces in order to strengthen the unity and integrity of the nation and the State. He said that foundation of this country has been laid on secular ideals which is our strength and we should not allow weakening this at any cost and urged the people to reject such kind of forces who are posing threat to the secular fabric of the nation.
He further said that protecting peoples’ wishes and aspirations were priority of the coalition Government and it has always protected interest of the all sections of the society. Sadhotra urged the people to strengthen the hands of NC-Congress coalition and urged the people and workers of both the party to work for the success of coalition candidates.
He said that the success of coalition candidates is necessary to defeat the divisive forces and strengthen the bond of unity and integrity of the State. He highlighted that it is the wish and direction of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah that all the candidates of coalition partners must win the Lok Sabha seats in a big way. He urged the Party workers to launch a co-ordinate campaign for the success of coalition candidates in the State. Developmental activities are visible but the attention of the people is being diverted to mislead the masses from reality, he added.
