JAMMU, Mar 27: The Shanti Swaroop Memorial Jammu Public Higher Secondary School, Sarwal, Patoli today celebrated its 24th Foundation Day and prize distribution function at Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu.
The programme was attended by school students, staff management and parents of the students. A variety of cultural programme were presented by the students in the function, which started with ‘Ganesh Vandana’. The cultural items included folk dances depicting rich culture heritage of different States.
Kusam Bhatia, Principal and Managing Director of the School apprised the gathering about achievements of the school and presented vote of thanks.
Awards for the excellence in different fields including academics were presented to meritorious students. Proceedings were conducted by Ms Pallak Madan and Ms Rajni Sharma.
Former Education Minister Rangil Singh was chief guest while Veena Pandita, Joint Secretary, J&K Board of School Education was guest of honour. Managing Committee president RK Bali was also present on the occasion.
