JAMMU, Mar 17: Police last night arrested two miscreants along with a sharp-edged weapon for attempting to attack a civilian near Luxmi Narayan Mandir in Gandhi Nagar.
They have been identified as Ranjit Choudhary son of Jasbir Choudhary, a resident of Digiana and Gurpreet Singh son of Mohinder Singh of Sanjay Nagar.
Police said they had reached near Luxmi Narayan temple and were looking for a person whom they wanted to attack when police parties headed by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Arun Jamwal overpowered them.
Police recovered a sharp-edged weapon and an iron chain from the possession of accused. A case has been registered against them at Gandhi Nagar police station.
