UDHAMPUR, Mar 17: The police foiled two attempts of smuggling of seven bovine animals and seized two vehicle along with animals today. Two persons were also arrested.
A police spokesman said that Rehmbal police party intercepted vehicles JK-02BD/ 2805 ( Tata Mobile) and JK-14C/ 4839 (Mohindra), on National Highway near Udhampur early today and found seven bovine animals being smuggled to Kashmir. The occupants had no valid documents.
Two accused persons were arrested in this connection. They were identified as Bashir Ahmed, son of Isham Din resident of Dharam Kund, Ramban, at present Beli Charana in Jammu and Hamid Ali, son of Allah Din of Dhanal in Udhampur. A case was registered against them.
