SRINAGAR, Apr 23: Police in Baramulla today booked three “miscreants” under the PSA for their involvement in anti-national activities, after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority.
Those who have faced action have been identified as Maqsad Ali Kohli, son of Maqsood Ali, resident of Navarunda Uri; Mohd Usman Bhat, son of Abdullah Bhat, resident of Sahora Uri; and Ghulam Nabi Wani, son of Late Mohd Shaban, resident of Chandkote Kreeri.
“They have been booked under the Public Safety Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority. The booked persons have been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Bhalwal Jammu,” police said.
Authorities stated that many cases are registered against these individuals, who were involved in the disturbance of law and order and subversion.
