Samba police apprehends 13 gamblers, recovers stake money of Rs 10,700

SAMBA, Apr 15: Samba Police has apprehended 13 gamblers red-handed in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Bari Brahmana and recovered stake money to the tune of rupees 10,700/- along with playing cards, four mobile phones and cash from their possession.
Acting on specific information regarding gambling, a police team headed by SHO Police Station (PS) Bari Brahmana, Sumit Sharma raided the gambling spot near TeliBasti Bari Brahmana and apprehended 13 gamblers while gambling along with stake money of Rs10,700/-, playing cards, four costly mobile phones and cash of Rs.900/- from their possession.
The apprehended gamblers, all residing at present Bari Brahmana, have been identified as Mukesh Raikwar son of Shankar Lal Raikwar of Bagauta Chhatarpur (MP), Akhilesh, son of Gauri Shankar of Palera Tikamgarh (MP), Dayaram Ahirwar son of Lalli Ahirwar of Chhatarpur (MP), Krishan Kumar Kori, son of Raja Ram of Bariyarpur (MP), Ram Prasad son of Marsul Kol of Keraha (MP), Santosh Raikwar son of Khuman Raikwar of Chhatarpur (MP), Foolan Chandra Raikwar S/o Khuman Raikwar R/o Chhatarpur (MP), Bajrang Rai son of Pujan Rai of Nawadih Jharkhand, Pillu Sahu son of Mohan Lal of Bichpara Chhattisgarh, Golu Lahari S/o Anjor Lahari R/o Mudpar Chhattisgarh, Asharam Majhi son of Anjuram Majhi of Tharhidih Chhatisgarh, Brajgopal Patel, son of Mangaldeen Patel of Saura Chhatarpur (MP) and Manoj Kumar son of Kant Paswan of Dekpura Bihar.
Legal action under Section 13 of Gambling Act has been taken by police against the gamblers, police said.
