JAMMU, Mar 26: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Advocate Hunar Gupta seeking shifting of Rohingyas from J&K, a Division Bench of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court comprising Chief Justice N Kotiswar Singh and Justice M A Chowdhary has directed DSGI Vishal Sharma to intimate the court about the latest position with the matter pursuant to Rohingyas pending before the Supreme Court and also the action which the Union Government intends to take about these Rohingyas.
In the PIL, it has been prayed that direction should be issued to the concerned authorities to shift all the illegal immigrants from Myanmar and Bangladesh from J&K to any other place as no Refugee Camp has ever been declared either by J&K or by United Nation in J&K.
