JAMMU, Feb 9: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) urged the Chief Minister to bring required amendments in SRO 64 in the forthcoming Assembly session to pave way for the regularization of all daily rated workers engaged in various Government Departments after March 1994.
Addressing NMC workers rally here today, Subash Shastri, president, NMC said that these daily rated workers are facing serious financial hardships as their services have not been regularized for the last two decades they are not getting their wages regularly.
He stressed on the need for early creations of separate heads in all the concerned departments and budgetary allocations made separately so that till their regularizations, the daily rated workers are able to get their monthly wages regularly and in time.
Pleading the cause of clerical cadre of the Government, Shastri impressed for removal of all pay anomalies without further delay by amending SRO 93.
Shastri has also appealed to the Central Government to release 10 per cent DA due from January last in favour of both Central and State Government employees and pensioners and merger of 100 per cent DA into basic pay/pension to neutralize the affect of inflation.
Referring to the forthcoming State Budget, Shastri hoped that it will provide relief to the salaried class and their many long pending demands would get addressed.
Issuance of regularization order of 180 daily wagers working in the RDD, release of 3rd installment of 6th Pay Commission arrears, enhancing medical allowance to rupee one thousand per month, increase in monthly wages of daily wagers to rupee ten thousand, grant 20 per cent interim relief and strictly implementing CP Fund deduction scheme in all departments of the Government were the other demands coiced by Shastri.
