Six injured in collision of vehicles in Banihal’s Shalgari

RAMBAN, Nov 27: At least six persons were injured in the collision of two vehicles in Shalgari area of Banihal on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway late on Monday evening.
A police spokesperson said that a tempo traveller (JK20-4368) on its way from Banihal towards Jammu collided with a truck (JK18B-391) head on at Shalgari, Chamalwas, resulting in injuries to six passengers.
The injured, identified as Muskaan Jaan (26) wife of Mohammad Sajid Khan of Malik Market Jammu, Junaid Gulzar (20) son of Gulzar Ahmed Lone of Kralgund, Kupwara, Aaqib Maqbool Khwaja (20) son of Mohammad Maqbool Khwaja of Kralgund, Kupwara, Munawar Khan (30) son of Musawar Khan of Kakrala, Tehsil Dataganj, Badayun, Uttar Pradesh, Murad ali (18) son of Hami Raza of Chandpatti, Sitamarhi, Bihar, have been shifted to SDH Banihal, he said.
Others who received minor injuries have been discharged from the hospital after first-aid.
Police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the law and started further investigation.
