KATHUA, Jan 16: As a part of ‘Operation Sadbhavna’, Army distributed 50 bicycles to children of Govt Middle School, Dhanna in Kathua today.
The presentation ceremony was conducted under the aegis of local Army unit of Arsenal Brigade. It was attended by army officials, state education officials, parents of school children and eminent village personalities.
During the ceremony, the Commanding Officer assured the villagers for every possible assistance required for the betterment of the civilian population.
Headmistress of the Government Middle School Dhana in her address applauded the Army’s gesture and said that it will act as morale booster for the children of the school.
Block Development Officer Kathua Dr Anirudh Rai was also present on the occasion.
