Som expresses concern over privatization

JAMMU, Jan 12: Chairman, Dabgotra’s Charitable Trust and RTI activist, Som Nath Dabgotra today criticized the orders of the Minister of Medical Education Taj Mohi-ud-Din for advocating privatization of Super Specialty Hospital, GMCH and SMGS Jammu.
The medical facilities at these hospitals are crumbling and the Minister’s irrelevant orders added fuel to the fire, he said, and demanded immediate revocation of orders.
“Private players only want to earn money. They don’t care for the sentiments of poor people. We will not let them do so”, he rued.
Dabgotra also opposed paid Evening OPD in GMCH, SMGS and Super Specialty Hospital. A fee of Rs 300 is charged in these OPD’S which a common man can’t pay, he claimed.
The State Government received a lot of funds from the Central Government for Super Specialty Hospital but they are not utilizing the funds properly, he said and threatened to start a Janandolan if orders of PP mode in GMCH and SMGS are not taken back.
