BSP terms CM’s statement on employment as joke

JAMMU, Jan 11: Ridiculing the statement of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah during his tour to Jammu-Udhampur National Highway that employment to the locals be given in the Highway, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) said it is nothing but a joke.
“This segment of the National Highway was started 2-3 years back and at that time no effort was made by the Government for the employment of the locals and when that portion is about to complete and companies associated with it are about to bind up the work, at this point of time such statement is nothing else except joking with the people”, said BSP State president, Tulsi Dass Langeh and State general secretary, Rakesh Wazir, in a meeting held here today.
The BSP leaders further said that it is ironical that with the coming up of National Highway all the major markets coming in the highway got wiped away snatching away the so far existing employment from the people engaged on the shops but the Government acted as mute spectator and did nothing in this behalf and no rehabilitation was made for those people.
