JAMMU, Jan 9: A deputation of All J&K ReT Teachers Forum today called on State Project Director (SSA) S C Sawhny and presented him a memorandum highlighting their issues and grievances.
The deputation, led by Vinod Sharma apprised the Project Director that regularized ReT teachers in many districts of Jammu province were without salary for the last two to six months, especially in Poonch, Rajouri, Reasi, Samba and Doda.
He also highlighted the plight of female ReT teachers regularized under Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidiyala (KGBV) scheme, who have not received salary for the last one and half year.
The Project Director gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured to release the salary grants of SSA teachers within a week. He also informed that release of salary under KGBV scheme was also on priority.
Others in the deputation included Lekh Raj Parihar, Sajjad Malik, Sukesh Khajuria, Sukhdev Singh, Sham Sharma, Majid Shaqoor Malik and Asgar Wani.
