DC Poonch inaugurates Multi-Media Exhibition

POONCH, Aug 18: A 3-day Multi Media Exhibition (ICOP) on 9 years of Seva Sushasan Aur Karib Kalyan, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, Mission LiFE, G-20 Presidency etc was today inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin Mohd. Chaudhary at Base Camp of Shri Buddha Amarnath Yatra here.
Ghulam Abbas, Joint Director Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) J&K, Ladakh presided over the function.
The Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP) is being organized by CBC Poonch.
Madan Mohan Singh, Commandant 38 CRPF; Tahir Mustafa Malik, ADC; Devender Singh, 2IC-38 CRPF; Khalid Hussain, DPO ICDS, Poonch; Riyaz Ahmed, Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti PHE Poonch and Dr. Tanvi, CEO Tourism were among prominent persons present at the function.
DC Poonch said that these kind of awareness programmes on the schemes and programmes of Government of India (GoI) should be organized on regular intervals so that general public especially in far-flung border areas like Balakot get to know about benefits of these schemes.
CBC Joint Director, J&K, Ladakh said, the government is working towards the upliftment of poor in the country through its various centrally sponsored schemes and programs and the pro-poor schemes of the government have brought a revolution in the country.
The exhibits in the Photo Exhibition focused on achievements of GoI in various fields.
Displays were especially designed by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for enlightenment of visitors about various schemes of GoI.
