JAMMU, Dec 20: A State level delegation of Central Non-Gazetted Electrical Employees Union (CNGEEU) met Principal Secretary, Power Development Department (PDD) and Development Commissioner, Power, at their respective offices here today, discussed their immediate demands and submitted detailed charter of demands to them.
The delegation, which was led by president of the Union, Shiekh Ajaz Ahmad, apprised the Principal Secretary and Development Commissioner about the apprehensions by the employees regarding the un-bundling of power sector and its bad effects on the service rights and people’s interests.
The delegation demanded to reverse the decision of unbundling of power sector, creation of additional posts to ease the heavy work load on employees, regularization and immediate wage policy for casual, contractual and need based workers, holding of DPCs at all levels, defreezing of vacancies, amendment in recruitment rules, etc.
Both the officers assured the delegation to consider their demands for early settlement.
Mohd Maqbool, Farid Ahmad Mir, Gurmeet Singh, Surinder Kumar, Sat Pal Singh, Kuldev Raj, Darshan Lal and others were part of the delegation.
