REASI, Dec 17: Police today arrested a notorious criminal, who was wanted in a number of criminal cases and had been absconding for the last around two decades.
The criminal, identified as Girdhari Singh of Khanikote in Mahore, was arrested by a police team, led by SHO Arnas, Ashok Sharma, under the supervision of SDPO Mahore Mushim Ahmed.
Girdhari Singh was wanted in case FIR number 193/92 under Section 3/25 Arms Act at Police Station Reasi, FIR number 40/92 under Section 457, 392 at Police Station Reasi and FIR number 7/94 under Section 457, 392 Arms Act at Police Station Ramnagar.
He had been evading his arrest since 1994.
To arrest the absconding criminal, SDPO Mahore Mushim Ahmed constituted a Police team, headed by SHO Arnas Ashok Sharma. The Police team conducted a series of raids at possible hideouts of the absconder and finally succeeded to nab him for producing him before the court of law and further legal action.
