JKGBOA holds protest demonstration

JAMMU, Nov 22:  J&K Grameen Bank Officers Association (JKGBOA) today held demonstration at Head Office, JKGB, Narwal, here in support of their long pending demands.
During the demonstration, president of the Association, Mohan Singh Jasrotia, said the Association opposed the proposed RRB Act amendment bill and demanded formation of NRBI with State level RRBs under it, parity of all allowances and benefits, regularisation of all temporary staff and appointment of nominee directors on the RRB boards from Officers and Employees.
General secretary, Varinder Sharma speaking on the issues said we demanded recruitment of adequate staff and regular promotions, special leave to TU leaders as in banking industry, relaxations in required service in promotions as in Public Sector Banks, implementation of all recommendations of JCC and periodic convening of JCC etc.
The Association also decided to implement Central Association (AIRRBEA) programmes like State level deputation to NABARD / RBI / Sponsor Banks / State Government on November 29, 2013, mass dharna at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi on December 10, 2013 and flash strike, if RRB Act amendment bill is placed in Parliament for approval.
